Hebron Middle School is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the next principal who can inspire and empower our students, faculty, and staff. This role will provide strategic leadership and direction for our middle school, ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all students. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and innovative leader with a record of success in middle school. They will possess a deep understanding of middle school best practices, a commitment to equity and inclusion, and a passion for developing the whole child. This position will direct and coordinate the education, administrative, and counseling activities of schools and promotes the educational development of all students.In addition this position, oversees a district program, Discovery School, concentrated on math and science (housed in the school) for selected students in Grades 6-8 comprised of high potential and/or gifted and talented students. Key responsibilites will be: visionary leadership, instructional leadership, school culture and climate, administrative leadership, and develop community engagement in and out of the school.
Qualifications
- Must hold or be able to obtain a Kentucky Principal Certification
- Three (3) years of administrative experience at the Secondary level preferred
- Must possess strong, participatory leadership skills, believe in involvement of the community in the schools and relate to a variety of audiences in a positive manner
- Applicant must have a thorough understanding of middle school curriculum and the developmental needs of children
- Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years secondary school teaching experience
Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the 2025-2026 school year.
