Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
HECO Kentucky Service Company is seeking a dynamic Hybrid Inside/Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a comprehensive skill set in both inside and outside sales, with a structured transition plan to guide your growth.
As a Hybrid Sales Representative at HECO Kentucky Service Company, you will:
*Spend 40% of your time in the first six months performing office-based activities as a customer service coordinator, including:
- General customer service and purchasing which includes, parts pricing, RFQ retrievals, and parts expediting
- Aid in quoting repairs if needed
- Responding promptly to inquiries via phone, and email, and direct inquiries to the appropriate department
- Learn from experienced salespeople through mentorship and shadowing opportunities
- Adapt to both office-based and field-based work environments
- 60% of your time will be traveling to visit customers with HECO salesman
*Gradually transition to a more dedicated Business Development Specialist after the first six months to one year, which will involve:
- Developing and managing both current and prospective sales leads
- Executing territory, account, and growth management plans
- Develop new opportunities with assigned house accounts
- Utilize CRM software to track leads, opportunities, and sales activities
- Participate in weekly internal sales calls
Qualification and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (not required)
- 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably industrial equipment sales
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (we use Salesforce)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel
