Looking for a highly collaborative Business Analyst Consultant with deep expertise in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and other laboratory informatics tools. The ideal candidate will work closely with client stakeholders, business users, technical teams and critically with laboratory technicians and lab managers onsite to ensure the successful implementation, optimization, and adoption of Laboratory Information Systems across various verticals including Life Sciences, Quality Manufacturing (QM), and Public Health.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, hands-on analyst who not only understands lab informatics but is also comfortable working directly in laboratory environments, engaging with lab professionals to ensure LIS solutions align with real-world lab processes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams to assess business processes and lab workflows, producing clear documentation (e.g., user stories, functional specs).
• Engage directly with lab technicians and lab managers to understand laboratory operations and translate those needs into LIS-driven solutions.
• Configure, customize, and support Laboratory Information Systems across multiple industry verticals.
• Drive user adoption through training sessions, knowledge transfer, and hands-on support.
• Develop wireframes and mockups using tools such as Balsamiq to enhance system design and user experience discussions.
• Support project tracking and communication using tools like JIRA.
• Ensure smooth collaboration between business users, developers, QA teams, and third-party vendors.
• Maintain compliance with applicable standards (e.g., GMP, GLP, CLIA, ISO, 21 CFR Part 11, GxP).
  Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 5 years of Business Analyst experience, including 3 years hands-on experience with Laboratory Information Systems.
• Proven experience configuring and integrating LIS platforms in Life Sciences, QM, or Public Health environments.
• Prior exposure to LIMS platforms such as STARLIMS, LabWare, LabVantage, or SampleManager is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate directly with lab personnel.
• Practical experience working in GxP-compliant and regulated lab environments.
• Proficient in tools such as Balsamiq and JIRA.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project setting with an agile, team-based approach.
• CBAP certification is preferred.
  Preferred Qualities:

• Comfortable working in laboratories alongside technical staff and lab managers.
• Strong grasp of laboratory workflows and the ability to translate lab processes into LIS functionalities.
• Experience with system implementations, validation, upgrades, and cross-platform integrations.
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on shared goals and client success.
• Analytical, organized, and committed to continuous learning and process improvement.
