Job Title: VB Developer Location: Chantilly, VA (Hybrid)

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced VB Developer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work both remotely and on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Visual Basic (VB) development and a passion for building and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Visual Basic (VB) and VB.NET.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

• Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues.

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

• Support and enhance existing legacy systems, ensuring scalability and reliability.

• Work with databases (e.g., SQL Server) to integrate and manage data within applications.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 3 years of hands-on experience in VB and VB.NET development.

• Proficiency in the .NET framework and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

• Strong experience with SQL and database design (e.g., SQL Server).

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, TFS).

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ASP.NET for web application development.

• Knowledge of C# or other .NET languages.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience with legacy system modernization and migration projects.

• Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
