Job Title: Event Planner

We are Hedge Fund Tech Connect, a dynamic community established in 2004, that brings together nearly 500 influential executive-level decision-makers within the alternative finance sector. Collectively representing more than $5 trillion in assets, we are synonymous with innovation and offer an engaging calendar of events, including quarterly, monthly, and weekly gatherings, both in-person and virtual.
HFTC is seeking a dynamic Event Planner to lead the planning, marketing, and execution of high-quality networking events in the tri-state area. The ideal candidate will manage sponsor and member engagements, oversee event logistics, and ensure successful delivery of events with a focus on maximizing ROI.
This role requires someone who can work independently yet thrive in a collaborative team environment, with a positive "can-do" attitude and a commitment to the team's overall success.
Event Planning & Execution:- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of events from concept to completion.
- Host in-person events in the tri-state area.
- Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, contract negotiation, vendor management, and event staffing.
- Marketing & Communication:
- Market events to sponsors and members to ensure high attendance and engagement.
- Maintain the group portal, including admin, member, and sponsor sections.
- Communicate event details and updates to both sponsors and members.
- Budgeting & Performance Analysis:
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze event performance metrics to optimize strategies and maximize ROI.
- Sponsor & Member Engagement:
- Act as the primary liaison for sponsors, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
- Solicit and onboard new sponsors and members, maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Creativity:
- Collaborate with creative teams to develop event themes, branding, and content that resonate with target audiences.
- Work effectively both within a team and independently, contributing to the overall success of HFTC.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in event planning, ideally within a networking or membership-based organization.- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality events.
- Experience in budgeting and performance analysis.
Working Hours and Compensation:
$65,000 base salary with significant Performance and Sales Incentives- Regular in-office hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
