What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Technology Officer position at Hedge Fund?
This individual will oversee all technical aspects of the business and provide direction various development and operations teams.
The CTO will guide the technological vision of the company and take full responsibility for its implementation.
Role specifications;
- Establish, communicate, embody and defend the company’s technology vision to the business at large and its stakeholders
- Report to the Board of Directors in relation to short, medium and long term technology strategy
- Put in place and maintain effective team structures
- Work with, lead and take responsibility for the Heads of each technology department to ensure their teams are aligned with the goals and technological vision of the company
- Consistently evaluate technical efficiencies and be open to feedback from the wider business
- Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape, and possibly conduct research into new technology to understand how implementing it would drive revenue, reduce costs and streamline processes
- Oversee IT budgets across the board to ensure that technology expenditure is effective
- Ensuring everything is compliant with market regulations from a technological standpoint
