What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grants Management Specialist position at Hedge Impact headhunting?
We are doing an initial search to help with a new up-coming New York based role at our favourite large global foundation client.
We are looking for a key person to be an expert user of the grant management system, to work closely with internal and external stakeholders including program teams, recipients of grants, and the legal and financial teams. You will help to make the full grant lifecycle as efficient and effective as possible: to get the money out of the door to those that need it most, to ensure the quickest deployment possible and to maximise positive impact. You will be working across geographies in a global team.
Do you have:
- Grants experience in a Program team or Grants Management
- working experience in a multi-cultural, multi-national, and/or high complexity organization
- experience with systems such as Fluxx Grantmaker; Salesforce Nonprofit; Blackbaud Grantmaking (GIFTS Online); Foundant Grant Lifecycle; Submittable; MIP Fund Accounting etc
- a University degree
- excellent English, additional language fluency could be advantageous
- a highly organized and strong work ethic, with a flexible and creative problem solving attitude and an interest in learning and developing.
We are looking for people with a shared mission for systemic change, positive societal, economic and environmental impact, and personal characteristics that reflect the caring and inclusive values of the foundation, the team and the role.
We are very open to a range of relevant backgrounds, including:
- people with experience at other foundations, DFIs, family offices or charitable organizations with directly analogous experience
- experience as a grantee or at an organization that received a grant
- people with similar transferable experience, tech and data savvy with shared values, who may need more training
- a person with aligned values, who may have worked internships or an earlier stage in their career at a foundation/non-profit, has some years professional experience and is now keen to pursue a more meaningful mission aligned career
- someone coming back from a career break for any reason, including childcare, retirement etc
This is an important role at a very well funded organization making a positive impact for real people every day. If you would like to explore being part of this, please apply to this post with a full CV (and cover letter if you would like).
Thank You, Duncan
