The Business Development Manager for Hedrick Brothers Construction is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal and external marketing plan that would increase revenues and profits. This position is expected to uphold the mission and values established by the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Identifies all new potential leads in the public and private sectors; researches background data and prioritizes with the appropriate Executive.
· Performs market research and analysis.
· Develops strategy for client relationships with existing and potential owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers by creating a positive image, building lasting relationships, focusing on added value for the client and effectively communicating concepts and ideas.
· Collaborates with internal teams to prepare and deliver accurate cost estimates.
· Ensures all project proposals align with client expectations and company capabilities.
· Develops and executes sales strategies that align with company growth objectives.
· Tracks, analyzes, and reports on sales performance and project pipelines.
· Furnishes marketing advice, counsel and general staff support to all departments within the organization.
· Evaluates operational issues to determine how competitive and current Hedrick Brothers is with the latest trends in the industry.
· Monitors external and internal environment for development of new market segments.
· Assists in developing marketing campaigns. This includes formulating a specific budget and expenditure plan for each. Assists to develop and maintain marketing budget.
· Manages specific corporate programs.
· Assists in developing an ongoing employee engagement program for team members.
· Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, fundamentals, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the social contract.
· Assists in planning of any event that highlights corporate services.
· Assists in developing an evaluation process to gain feedback from constituents.
· Active in local Chambers and business organizations that allow exposure and knowledge base for present or future jobs and/or prospects.
· Identifies and performs public speaking opportunities to garner positive exposure for Hedrick Brothers Construction.
· Represents the company at networking events, industry functions, and client meetings.
· This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the organization.
· Works closely with leadership to drive a seamless transition from business development to project execution.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field required.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience of project/program management required.
· 5 years’ experience of project/program management preferred.
· Reliable transportation and a valid, Florida Driver License required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Ability to sit with back at a 90-degree angle for up to 8 hours per day.
· Ability to stand up right for up to 5 hours at a time.
· Ability to look at a computer for up to 8 hours per day.
· Full dexterity of wrists and fingers required with repetitive motions.
· Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to regularly lift, push, pull or carry up to 15 pounds.
· Ability to occasionally lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
