Heekin Law is seeking an experienced and reliable Legal Assistant to join our growing estate planning team at the Financial Way office. Our practice areas include: Binder Disputes, Evictions, Foreclosure, Garnishments, Homeowner/Condominium Association Disputes, Landlord/Tenant Disputes, Probate, Property line disputes, Will Contests, Breach of Contract, Quiet Title, Partitions, Estate Planning and Guardianships.
Preferred candidates will have proven experience as a Legal Assistant.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant.
- Experience in Estate Planning is preferred.
- Familiarity with legal documents, terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability and willingness to learn and effectively apply new skills and concepts.
- Experience with MyCase is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with online e-filing and Florida public records will be helpful.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and confidence to recognize problems and identify potential solutions.
- Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter, team player, reliable and loyal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Salary is commensurate with experience; PTO and health/dental/vision insurance provided.
