- We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with experience In fusion splicing arial and underground installation of fiber to the home “FTTH”. As a Fiber Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic cables and related equipment.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems to ensure functionality.
- Utilize hand tools and voltmeters to perform installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to complete network installations efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service while telecommunicating with clients regarding service issues or inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all operations.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical systems.
- Familiarity with telephone systems and computer networking concepts.
- Experience as a service technician in the telecommunications field is preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools and light meters for installation tasks.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Requirements
You will need your own truck and tools, All hand tools necessary to do install to a home. Cordless drill, Half inch wood bits And masonry Bits. You will need a 28 foot ladder with hooks And a fusion splicer. You will also need experience using a fusion splicer. Customer service experience is absolutely necessary!!

This is a 1099 position meaning you will pay for all of your own fuel and tools ETC.
