Role Summary
Maintain accounting processes, systems, and practices that record and track all payable, receivable, and accounting transactions in a timely and accurate manner. Support the delivery of financial statements, cash flows, and budgets when needed to ensure ongoing company stability and viability. Responsible for other duties as assigned.
During A Typical Day…
- Accurately record and review accounting transactions.
- Assist with preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and other month end close processes.
- Record cash transactions within the accounting system.
- Record intercompany activity between various entities.
- Manage the credit card reconciliation process
- Backup the payable functions.
- Manage and record bank activity in addition to completing bank reconciliations.
- Calculate and file sales and use tax returns.
- Assist with the development and implementation of process improvements.
- Practice effective communication by maintaining regular contact with the CFO and Controller.
- Work in an honest and ethical manner; always maintain confidentiality.

Strengths of a Successful Candidate
- A two-year Accounting/Finance degree
- 3 years of experience in accounting
- Knowledge in South Dakota Sales and Use Tax
- QuickBooks Experience
- Excellent organizational, time management, communication and customer service skills
- Ability to adapt to change and work well in a team setting.
Work Environment
- This position is largely self-directed and requires an understanding of company policy, procedures, and values.
- Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements in all work environments.
- This position operates in an office environment. Specific physical requirements include:
- Sitting approximately 90% of the time while working on a personal computer.
- Occasionally lifting weights of fifty (30) pounds or less.
