Position Highlights
The Insurance & Billing Clerk is responsible for reviewing a patient's account to ensure that charges are accurate. They also collect the patient's payment after services have been rendered. They also communicate with the patient's insurance company to ensure services are accepted for payment. Work with Medicaid and Medicare for billing of accounts. Help the patient in applying for health care resources, such as Medicaid, and making payment arrangements. The Billing & Insurance Clerk prepares and files patient reports and payment accounts.
