Role : Responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining network infrastructure to support data, voice, video, and wireless services. Provides hands-on support for routers, switches, firewalls, VMWare NSX, and load balancers while optimizing network performance and security.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Network Design & Maintenance
- Configure and manage LAN / WAN environments, VLANs, VPNs, and subnetting.
- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
- Implement and manage Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and SD-WAN solutions.
- Maintain fiber switches and associated infrastructure.
- Optimize network performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive upgrades.
- Security & Compliance
- Configure and maintain firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Enforce IT security policies, including access controls and 802.1X authentication.
- Conduct network security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Wireless & Cloud Networking
- Manage Cisco Meraki wireless access points.
- Ensure secure and efficient wireless connectivity.
- Work with virtualized networking environments (VMware NSX, vCenter).
- Support & Documentation
- Provide technical support and incident response within SLA guidelines.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
- Telecom Support
- Provide technical support for Unified Cisco Call Manager (UCCM, UCaaS).
- Proficient in voice and related technology.
- Troubleshooting circuits and ISP related issues.
