The Sales Trainee will be responsible for learning and mastering the sales process, developing product knowledge, and supporting our sales team in achieving company goals. The Sales Trainee will also be responsible for running sales routes while sales professionals are using PTO. Requirements:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Training and Development:
- Participate in comprehensive training programs to learn about our product portfolio, sales techniques, and industry trends.
- Shadow experienced sales representatives to understand their approach and strategies.
Customer Engagement:
- Assist in identifying and reaching out to potential clients, including bars, restaurants, and retail outlets.
- Support the sales team in managing existing client relationships and addressing customer inquiries.
Market Research:
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
- Analyze competitor products and strategies to contribute to our sales strategy.
Sales Support:
- Prepare sales presentations, product samples, and promotional materials.
- Help coordinate sales events, trade shows, and product launches.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
- Assist in preparing reports and analyzing sales data.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales team, marketing department, and other internal stakeholders to align goals and strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving sales performance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma/GED required
- Have valid Driver’s license and must be 21 years of age.
- Required to drive to multiple locations and maintain sufficient insurance. Must abide by all traffic and motor vehicle laws and regulations.
- Beverage and consumer product sales experience preferred.
- Computer skills, Microsoft office preferred.
- Very outgoing along with strong self-direction.
- Work with minimal supervision, ability to set priorities, and multitask.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions and wide temperature variations.
- Must be to work flexible hours through the week and, sometimes weekends.
- Week before and, during National Holidays are a must to work.
- Dress code is business casual; closed-toe shoes are suggested. Other restrictions may apply.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. minimum, climb ladders while working safely.
- Able to maneuver floor jacks in large box stores.
- Rotate and build multi-case displays.
- While performing the duties of this job, employee is required to stand; balance; walk; climb stairs, sit; use hands to feel and handle objects, tools, or controls, including standard office equipment such as computers and phones; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear; and have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
