What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate-Night Shift-Order Auditor position at Heidelberg Distributing Company?
JOB SUMMARY
An Order Auditor will perform various functions, including but not limited to: Verifying orders, loading trucks, picking and filling customer orders, and managing and organizing product stock. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work alone and in small groups, meet project timelines, and enjoy a fast-paced environment in the beverage alcohol industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure orders are verified & loaded onto the correct truck.
- Maintain a clean and effective workplace.
- Review orders to ensure the correct quantity and product is picked.
- Must have a strong knowledge of the warehouse and the ability to collaborate successfully with numerous operations associates.
- Communicate with management about what product is out of stock.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and walkie-power jacks.
- Willing to work flexible shifts, as needed.
- Detail-oriented.
- Must have a positive, winning attitude and excellent attendance record.
- Must be a fast-paced individual with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of product and proper pallet building.
- Great communication skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment with temperature variations throughout the year
- Must be able to work flexible hours through the week and, sometimes weekends.
- The week before and during National Holidays are a must to work.
- Steel-toe shoes are required. Other restrictions may apply.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. minimum and climb ladders while working safely.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; balance; walk; climb stairs, sit, use hands to feel and handle objects, tools, or controls, including standard office equipment such as computers and phones; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear; and have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
