Description : Job Summary
As Health, Safety and Environment Director you will work directly with the SVP Ops, RVPs Ops, Operations Managers and Supervisors, and Driver Managers to design, implement, and communicate our HSE initiatives and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. This role will conduct risk assessments, staff trainings and ensure compliance with local and national standards and regulations.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures and programs.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training sessions for audit purposes.
- Organize and deliver HSE training sessions for employees at all levels.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness across the organization.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure readiness for unforeseen events.
- Prepare detailed reports on HSE performance, including trends and recommendations for improvement.
