What You'll Be Doing
Assist with the preparation and detonation of explosives.
Work from a man basket at heights of up to 50 feet.
Use a variety of hand and power tools.
Handle and transport explosives safely.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of blasting equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
Support the blasting team with various tasks as needed.
What Are We Looking For
Ability to handle and transport explosives safely.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical capability to handle the demands of the job.
Ability to work a variable and flexible schedule.
Flexibility to work in various weather conditions.
Physical capability to handle the demands of the job including standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 75 pounds as when as other physical demands.
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug / alcohol screen, and background check.
Ability to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms background check
Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
Role operates primarily in an underground mine where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment and elevated noise level.
