What You'll Be Doing
- Operate scaling equipment to remove loose rock and debris from mine walls and ceilings.
- Conduct regular inspections of mine areas to identify and address potential hazards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on scaling equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Support the mining team with various tasks as needed.
- Work in an underground environment with heights of 27 feet and a temperature between 50-60 degrees.
What Are We Looking For
- Ability to operate and maintain scaling equipment in tight spaces.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical capability to handle the demands of the job including standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 75 pounds as when as other physical demands.
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
