What You'll Be Doing
Operate front-end loaders skillfully to transport bulk materials efficiently between storage areas, conveyors, hoppers, and loading points for trucks or railcars.
Monitor and verify the quantity of aggregate in storage bins, ensuring hoppers are filled properly for consistent quality and quantity of raw materials.
Perform routine maintenance on front-end loaders, including lubrication, fueling, and cleaning to keep equipment in optimal condition.
Contribute to maintaining quality standards by participating in the assessment of raw materials and collaborating with the team.
Work closely with plant management and staff to identify and resolve operational issues, providing suggestions for improving efficiency and effectiveness.
What We Are Looking For
High school diploma or GED is required.
At least 2 years of experience in the aggregate industry is preferred; experience in plant operations and maintenance is an advantage.
Demonstrate reliability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience operating mobile equipment (haul trucks, skid steers, etc.) is a plus.
Conditions of Employment
The selected candidate must complete a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug / alcohol screening, and background check.
Some positions may necessitate ongoing drug and alcohol testing regulated by FMCSA.
Work Environment
This role primarily involves working in environments with moving mechanical equipment and varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
