Tire Technician Job Summary
Heidelberg Materials is seeking a skilled Tire Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation, repair, and maintenance of tires on various vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test tires to identify any defects or damage
- Install and balance new tires, ensuring proper fit and alignment
- Maintain accurate records of all tire service activities
- Operate tire-changing equipment and machines safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tire-changing equipment
- Evaluate and address any safety concerns related to tire installation and maintenance
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures, humidity levels, and noise levels
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing (for some positions)
