Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled laborer to join our team at Heidelberg Materials North America. This role will involve operating small equipment and hand tools on various job sites, including paving, grading, pipe installation, and site work.
Maintaining a clean and organized job site and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order are essential responsibilities of this position. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in asphalt paving, typical site work, grading, storm/sanitary/water pipe installation, etc.
In addition to performing routine inspections and maintenance on small equipment and hand tools, the successful candidate will also be responsible for fueling, oiling, and greasing equipment to ensure proper function. Associated paperwork must also be completed accurately and efficiently.
This role operates primarily in environments with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels. The ability to work a varied schedule, including day shift, night shift, and weekends, due to construction contracts is essential.
We offer competitive compensation, including $14.00 per hour base pay, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
