What You'll Be Doing
- Ensures compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures.
- Meet daily production goals by understanding and performing all aspects of plant operations.
- Perform general plant maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct routine plant maintenance including greasing, checking oil levels, and shoveling under conveyors and spillage areas.
- Operate equipment including skid loaders, plant truck.
- Communicate current job information with contractors and drivers.
What Are We Looking For
- Basic computer skills.
- Solid mechanical skills to perform general maintenance.
- Ability to operate plant equipment.
- General knowledge of hot mix asphalt business and operation.
- Ability to learn basic welding and torch operation.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
