Customer Service - Ice Cream Scooper

Overview

Heidi's Ice Cream is in search of an Ice Cream Scooper to join our team. We are a quickly growing local business that specializes in house made ice cream, as well as other desserts and Heidi's jam products.

This will be a part-time position with daytime and evening shifts. Starting pay is $14/hour tips. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for the food and service industry.

Responsibilities

• Scoop and serve ice cream to customers while maintaining a quick pace and friendly service
• Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Assist in restocking supplies and managing inventory levels of ice cream flavors and toppings.
• Engage with customers, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations based on preferences.
• Work with others in a small team environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and basic retail math skills.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
• Ability to work in a kitchen environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs while going up and down stairs
