Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Assembly Technician to join our team at a high-performance aftermarket Hot Rod and Muscle Car manufacturing facility. This role involves assembling chassis and suspension components while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble chassis, steering, and suspension components according to specifications.
- Accurately pick and package hardware into kits per work instructions.
- Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks related to industrial subframe construction and crating.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery to complete assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Inspect components for defects to ensure proper fit and functionality.
- Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
- Conduct quality checks and promptly report any issues to the supervisor.
- Assist in other areas as needed to support overall production operations.
Qualifications:
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing plant environment and able to understand and follow plant sanitation and safety standards.
- Graduation from a trade school or 5 years of work experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in automotive assembly or manufacturing is preferred.
- Proven aptitude for and interest in machines and their functions, with the ability to read assembly prints.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery in an industrial setting.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- 5 years of experience assembling a variety of mechanical machines and components is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
