Position Summary:

The Supply & Demand Planning Manager will lead the Supply Chain Planning team in the effective application of business-driving strategies, best practices, and efficient processes. In this role, you will ensure your team has the tools to determine optimum levels of inventory and that goods are available to meet guest/customer demand at the correct location and with optimum timing and quantities. The Supply & Demand Planning Manager will also contribute to the strategic and tactical business planning. Integrate business strategies to develop rolling receipt and inventory plans with supporting analyses and assumptions for use in integrated business planning/sales and operations planning, supply planning, and financial planning. Leverage results and brand data to drive the forecast process. Establish a CPFR process together with feedback from Operations / Sales, Category Management, Commerce, and Logistics teams. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Supply Chain / Inventory Planners.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead supply chain/planning team to support and grow business through analysis and inventory management
  • Build monthly purchasing budget, in line with cash objectives and inventory targets, by Category/program/brand for the year
  • Lead and maintain Open to Buy process with alignment on receipts and inventory levels that support and drive forecast sales
  • Present business results and forecasts during monthly OTB meetings
  • Drive meetings to alignment, using analysis and facilitation, and influencing skills
  • Follow up with clear and accurate messaging of expected volumes, vulnerabilities, and opportunities as well as underlying assumptions
  • Provide continuous improvement to reporting, interpreting data, and developing actionable strategies based on results
  • Collaborate with Logistics on inbound and outbound product flow for enhanced speed-to-market initiatives
  • Lead team of supply chain/demand planners in utilizing and optimizing all available tools to deliver the product in line with forecast demand – including but not limited to data analysis, promotional activity, and collaboration with sales/operations, commerce/marketing, and category management teams
  • Work with vendor partners to improve/increase fill rates, timely shipping, and vendor compliance

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Responsible and accountable for Inventory management in line with Cash Flow objectives.
  • Build receipt budgets and continuously control and track with clear forecasts in line with business needs and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Category Management team on currency of inventory, markdowns/clearance of aged and slow-moving stocks, and presentation (target on hand) quantities and quantify the financial impact.
  • Develop exception-based reporting to identify missed opportunity/lost sales and develop strategies to address product needs to maximize sales potential.
  • Present business results vs. forecast/plan during OTB meetings with actions in line with financials and effects on inventory levels.


Qualifications:

  • 4 – 6 years experience leading Supply Chain / Planning teams, preferably in the Travel Retail Industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Supply Chain or Accounting.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • A minimum of 4 years in a Supply Chain / Planning Manager role.
  • Excellent retail math and critical thinking skills are required, as well as the ability to communicate at the appropriate level of detail or summarization, given the audience and objective.
  • Proven results running meetings where cross-functional decisions are needed and reached using analysis and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong Excel skills required as the position involves creating/maintaining many complex spreadsheets. Experience with Pivot Table Access preferred.
  • Forecasting expertise.
  • Financial savvy including experience with cost inventory methods of accounting.
  • SAP F&R / ERP knowledge.
  • Team Leadership, development, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Proven relationship-building skills – the ability to relate with and connect with collaborators at all levels.
  • Results-oriented – inspired ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve the set goals and steadily improve in a challenging environment.
  • Actively participates in strategy development and makes decisions towards objectives.
  • Requires a high level of problem-solving ability based on the complex nature of the business.
  • Resilient, hardworking, leading by example, persevering.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Occasional travel required.

The environment includes work inside/outside the office and travel to warehouses and vessels; there will be loud noises, dust and dirt, and other natural factors affecting the environment outside the office.
