Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders, and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
- Monitor customer consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service and compliance with local laws.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilizing basic math skills for processing payments.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during events such as banquets or catering functions.
- Stay informed about current drink trends, brewing techniques, and food safety practices to enhance service quality.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bartending role or relevant hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing tabs effectively.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and food safety standards is a plus.
- Ability to work in a high-energy environment such as nightclubs or catering events.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
