What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evening Barista/Server position at Heirloom?
Heirloom is a specialty coffee, tea, and sake bar, with a full kitchen and exciting menu. Recently we have expanded our services to include both counter service and table service and we are seeking individuals that enjoy working as a team and grow with us.
Will consider baristas with experience in third wave specialty coffee or those with no experience but an affinity to learn more about the finer details and science of beverage and food.
Full- or part-time positions available. This job listing is for evening shifts with occasional day shifts. Must be available on week-ends.
Duties:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent service throughout their dining experience
- Be accustomed to handling extremely busy shifts, sometimes during unexpected moments when working solo
- Be accustomed to filling slower moments with assigned tasks
- Clear and clean tables after customers have finished their meals
- Sanitize tables, chairs, and other dining area surfaces
- Treat all people and things with respect, have a thirst for culture and heritage as told through food and beverage
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a server is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
