Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing/Shop Manager to oversee our production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, maintaining quality standards, and leading and growing a team of skilled workers. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and growth to manufacturing team of 15-25. Ensure that objectives for projects are met in terms of scope, time, and quality.
  • Develop an environment and culture that drives company mission and vision
  • Strong project management skills, including end-to-end planning, project launch, tracking, project communications, and team building.
  • Strong communication skills to work and coordinate with multiple departments including sales, purchasing, design, and programming
  • Clear awareness and understanding of all current project status and scope
  • Clear communication of ship dates, scheduling, project scope, special processing, and potential challenges to all areas of shop floor
  • Manufacturing overtime discretion
  • Day-to-day oversight of programming and manufacturing schedules for Heise-USA, requests and releases all programs and drawings for floor.
  • Execution of handbook policies for the manufacturing floor
  • Company Safety Officer
  • Oversee and ensure end-of-project inspection validation protocols including incoming and in-process inspection
  • Ensure quality of parts to be in compliance with engineering drawings & Heise Standards
  • Execution of procedures to optimize manufacturing time
  • Provide corrective actions for any misses specific to CNC operation, inspection, CNC programming and part routing
  • Ensure completion of projects to meet customer & internal timelines
  • Communication with Sales to determine project timelines while relaying delays, challenges, and other expected & unexpected interference
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and reviews of all shop employees
  • Maintain and grow shop floor staffing through recruitment, training, reviews, targets, and goals
  • Maintain awareness and reporting of maintenance, tooling, material
  • Addresses technical, regulatory, business and operational needs.
  • Executes planning and scheduling for manufacturing in accordance with job scope and shipping date.
  • Coordinates efforts with team members to assure completion of component processes in a manner that meets business and customer requirements.
  • Follow and maintain manufacturing processes and manufacturing standards with team.

Qualifications

  • 10 Years in Manufacturing, CNC Programming, or related role preferred.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing management role or similar position.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC/Grinding/Polishing/Inspection), quality control standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to grow, motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • High level problem solving in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
