Position Overview

At Heitek Automation, we provide automation, motion control, robotic and pneumatic solutions to our clients in a range of industries. We provide a consultative approach to supplying customers with solutions that improve efficiency and performance to their automated processes or equipment. We believe in providing excellent customer service by delivering superior value through all phases of our value chain. A Business Development Managers primary objective is to build long term partnerships and implement Heitek's strategy to increase revenue and market share.


Responsibilities

  • Responding to customer inquiries: Addressing customer questions, concerns, and requests through various communication channels, such as phone calls, emails, live chats, or social media platforms.
  • Providing product/service information: Offering detailed information about the company's products or services, including features, benefits, pricing, and any relevant policies or procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Assisting customers in resolving technical issues, product malfunctions, or service interruptions by providing step-by-step guidance or coordinating with other departments to find appropriate solutions.
  • Handling customer concerns: Listening empathetically to customer concerns, documenting them, and working towards fair resolutions while adhering to company policies and guidelines.
  • Order processing and tracking: Assisting or internal team with placing orders, processing payments, and providing updates on the status of their orders or shipments.
  • Maintaining customer records: Accurately documenting customer interactions, inquiries, concerns, and resolutions in the company's customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Upselling and cross-selling: Identifying opportunities to promote additional products or services to customers, based on their needs and preferences.
  • Collaborating with internal teams: Coordinating with various departments, such as customer care, technical support, billing, or shipping, to ensure seamless customer experiences and resolve complex issues.


Qualifications and Skillset                      

  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the industry, market trends, and competitors. Understanding of the company's products, services, and target market.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation and negotiation abilities. Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Ability to identify growth opportunities, develop business strategies, and adapt to changing market dynamics.
  • Results-Oriented: Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales goals and targets. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Networking Skills: Effective networking abilities to build a strong professional network and leverage industry connections for business opportunities.
  • Tech Savviness: Proficiency in using CRM software, sales tools, and other relevant business development technologies.
