• Position Description The Sanitation worker cleans & sanitizes all equipment in the plant in compliance with customer specifications and with company policy related to GMPs and Safety.Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize equipment using chemicals and foamer and sanitation sprayer.Read chemical labels to ensure safe applications.

• Manually scrub certain areas of machines using brushes or scrub pads.

• Light cleaning of around electrical equipment; picking up garbage from floor and sweeping with dust mop. Clean floors using floor scrubber.

• Disassembling equipment.

• Pressure wash floors and walls.

• All Sanitation employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.

• All Sanitation employees are expected to produce and promote our products and services in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor and Quality Control Supervisor.Required Education, Experience, and Skills High School diploma or GED.

• General understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.

• Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve.

• Basic understanding of sanitation processes and related equipment.

• Ability to run sanitation equipment.

• Ability to read, comprehend and communicate safety labels on chemical containers.

• Ability to work overtime as needed with little or no notice.Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

• 1 year of sanitation experience or more.

• SAP experience.

• Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, respiratory protection, gloves, boots, aprons and/or safety glasses/goggles may be required

. Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, shoulder-to-overhead and pushing/pulling/carrying.

• Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend/twist neck and back; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.

• Ability to tolerate humid, wet working environment with temperatures up to 70 degrees F

. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to be in contact with sanitation/cleaning chemicals.Required experience:

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Sanitation: 1 year (Preferred)
• Chemicals: 1 year (Preferred)
• Machinery: 1 year (Preferred)
• cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)
• Safety: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDL CLASS C (Preferred)

Salary : $17 - $18
