Job Description

• JOB DESCRIPTION:ICE CREAM PRODUCTION – LINE OPERATOR DUTIES:Assist in the daily production of ice cream products to include all lines manufactured under the Helados La Tapatia Ice Cream label. Practices Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP),
• Good Sanitation Practices (GSP) and safe performance of duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
• SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:§ Be knowledgeable in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Sanitation Practices (GSP) necessary in food operations.
• Follow procedures as established. Assists in the daily production of ice cream to include setup, picking and handling of ingredients and supplies for the freezing of ice cream; and the cleaning and sanitation of the work area for next day production.
• Engaged in the process of ice cream, the standards to be followed and the safety of product from mix through packaged state.§ Maintains inventories by rotating properly; keeping storage areas neat and clean of any rubbish or foreign objects.
• Able to work under subzero conditions in freezers with Company provided gear.
• Personal hygiene practices a must.
• Must have a positive work attitude and work well with people. All other duties as deemed necessary by management.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Good ability in mathematics, legible handwriting and good verbal communication skills.

• Must be physically capable of lifting and manually moving product weighing up to 50 lbs in both freezer, chill and dry conditions. Follows all House and Safety Rules, Standards of Operations and Procedures, including Company Dress Code.Required experience:

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Packaging: 1 year (Preferred)
• Machine operator: 1 year (Preferred)
• Forklift driver: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDL CLASS C (Preferred)
