What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at Helen Hayes Hospital?
NATURE OF WORK & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will work as part of an inpatient rehab team on diagnosis specific units. Performs initial evaluation and treatment of patients; Responsible to provide patient care for inpatient as well as outpatient coverage if the need arises; Assist Lead Therapist with mentoring and or orientation of new or newly rotated staff; participate in PT student programming; other duties as assigned
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
Possession of a license and current registration as a physical therapist in New York State.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
1-2 years of experience with neuro and non neuro patient care. Experience with Meditech documentation as well as Medilinks/Wellsky. Knowledge of inpatient Medicare guidelines for documentation. Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
