What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Physical Therapist position at Helen Hayes Hospital?
Responsible for providing individualized physical therapy services with timely documentation in the Outpatient Neurology department.
Performs initial evaluations, develops functional goals and provides specific goal oriented treatments.
This is a fast-paced outpatient department, looking for an enthusiastic and skilled candidate who can work with neurological diagnoses like stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal surgeries, balance dysfunction and neuropathies.
Other duties as assigned.
You must pass competencies for this position.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
Must
be a licensed Physical Therapist in New York State and one year of post-licensure experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
1-year clinical experience; strong organizational
skills; good communication skills; experience in outpatient programs;
familiarity with outpatient regulations; and documentation requirements. Experience working with a team and strong
ability to monitor therapy progress and create home carryover programs.
