PEER SUPPORT SPECIALISTS Peer Support Specialists work in our Peer Support Center and are primarymental health consumers with appropriate life experience (mental health orsubstance use) and a desire to be a role model for recovery. Some experienceleading groups is desired as well as experience in customer service. InChattanooga, our Peer Support Workers are responsible for the day-to-daysupport of clients when on duty and assist in the daily operation of theLighthouse Peer Support Center. Applicants should possess the ability torelate to individuals and families of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds,ages, educational levels, and economic circumstances with respect and dignity. MENTAL HEALTH TECHS Mental Health Techs are based in our Supportive Housing locations that utilizeround-the-clock staff. Work schedules are shift-based and require evenings,overnights, weekends, and holidays. Shift differential supplemental pay isavailable for 2nd and 3rd shift in our Supportive Housing locations. MentalHealth Techs serve in a direct care role that involves supervisingmonitoringclients in an inpatient or residential setting, performing intakes,inventorying belongings, performing safety checks, facilitatingpsychoeducational groups, and providing a supportive environment for theclients. Mental Health Techs also transport clients to and from the differentappointments and activities so an F-endorsement is required. Starting salary for a HSEquivalent level clinician in these settings rangesfrom $16.22 (full time); $14hour (PRNPart-time). Facility, client populationand acuity as well as position, education and relevant experience determinesalary.
