About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Liaison to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center. As a key member of our mental health services, you will work closely with schools, families, and children to provide individualized support and promote healthy learning environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct mental health services in school settings, including individual consultation with teachers and students.
- Develop and implement training programs for teachers, school staff, and students to enhance classroom dynamics and promote student well-being.
- Collaborate with families to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide direct services to identified students.
- Conduct mental health assessments, evaluations, and counseling sessions as needed.
Requirements
- Masters degree in a human services field such as counseling or social work.
- Two years of experience working with children with emotional or behavioral problems, or two years of experience with adolescent substance use/abuse prevention.
- Experience leading groups and trainings, with coursework in cultural diversity, human development, and treatment of mental illness.
