About the Job:
The Helen Ross McNabb Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Services Coordinator - Loudon & Union County to join our team. As a key member of our school-based mental health program, you will provide direct mental health services to students in rural Loudon and Union Counties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct mental health services to identified students, including individual consultation, group counseling, and advocacy support.
- Work collaboratively with families to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure successful implementation of Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services grants.
- Participate in IEP meetings, school events, and community activities to promote mental health awareness and support.
- Maintain accurate records, complete all documentation in a timely manner, and uphold HRMC and CARF standards.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's degree in a human services field, such as counselor or social work, and two years of experience working with children with emotional or behavioral problems. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively counsel children and families, present professionally, and work within a team format.
