Job Description
The Helen Ross McNabb Center is seeking a qualified School Mental Health Liaison Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a human services field, such as counseling or social work, and two years of experience working with children with emotional or behavioral problems.
- This role requires the ability to provide individual consultation to teachers, assist in structuring classrooms, and promote healthy learning environments.
- The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing training and education to teachers, school staff, and students.
- Maintaining accurate records, meeting productivity standards, and demonstrating a positive work climate are essential aspects of this position.
Responsibilities
- Provide mental health services in the rural county school system.
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and group sessions with children and/or parents.
- Interface professionally with school personnel and other agencies.
- Complete all documentation in a timely manner, upholding center policy and procedures, and CARF standards.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in a human services field.
- Two years of experience working with children with emotional or behavioral problems.
- Licensed or licensed eligible.
- Ability to effectively counsel children and families.
