Helena Cycle Center is hiring a Level I Technician to join our growing team!
Position is 40 hours per week; Tuesday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday 8 am to 5 pm.

Technician Job Description
Position receives directives from the Service Manager and is required to be self-sufficient. Service Manager requested work is completed in a safe, professional, efficient and timely manner. Must be able to safely operate all machines put together by Helena Cycle Center. Candidate must conduct themselves in the presence of customers in a manner that promotes a positive, professional image. Level I Technician duties include but including but not limited to:
- Responsible for completing Repair/Set-up Orders, as scheduled by the Service Manager, by the assigned completion dates and at, or under the assigned budgets
- Responsible for clocking into, and out of Repair/Set-up Orders, and for the accuracy of these transactions
- Responsible for the quality of workmanship on each Repair/Set-up Order worked on
- Responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of your work area
- Responsible to eliminate waste of shop supplies
- Responsible to report to Service Manager, when it is apparent that the unit can’t be fixed within the established budgeted hours
- Responsible to shut down all powered tools and shop aids at the end of each work shift
- Responsible to let the Service Manager know when you have been assigned a task that you are not able to complete
- Responsible to alert the Service Manager immediately upon the identification of a need for a part which is not covered by the Repair Order
- Responsible to complete additional tasks, as assigned by the Service Manager, such as cleaning the shop bathroom and break-room, closing and locking the shop overhead doors, warehouse doors container doors and gates
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- 1 year experience in a related field preferred with ability to perform all tasks without supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Effective communication with other technicians, customers and Service Manager both verbally and in writing.
- Computer literate along with ability to use various types of diagnostic equipment.
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift in excess of 80 lbs. of material.
- Frequently requires the ability to balance and push an 800 lb. ATV, Motorcycle, UTV, Snowmobile or equivalent power equipment unit
