The Helena Dolphins Swim Team (HDST) seeks an energetic and self-motivated individual for the position of Associated Head Coach to assist in overseeing training design and performance excellence that aligns with the mission and values of the coach-owned competitive swim club. Position is currently a part time hourly position (includes both on deck coaching and administrative/managerial duties).
Position details:
This position will be responsible for being our lead coach and assist with our age-group practice groups. This position will also include leading dryland practices as well as further developing the team with the owner of the team.

Qualifications
- Deep passion for the sport of swimming and a commitment to developing young athletes.
- Experience as a competitive swimmer.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with athletes, coaches, and parents.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest coaching techniques.
- Good organizational skills with an attention to detail.
- Ability to create a supportive environment, fostering a love for the sport and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience and/or a willingness to learn the team management software platform Team Unify/Go Motion.
- USA Swimming Coach active membership, or willingness to get certified, before the first swim meet.
- CPR/AED & Lifeguard Certified
Responsibilities:
- Assist in recruiting and retaining swimmers.
- Promotes and encourages a positive, progressive, inclusive, and supportive culture.
- Ensures HDST and its members operate in compliance and follow the policies and procedures of USA Swimming and Montana Swimming.(background checks, membership, etc.).
- Communicate effectively with parents, swimmers, and other coaches (email, phone, face-to-face).
- Assists with developing meet attendance schedules and enroll swimmers.
- Attend all scheduled swim meets, meetings, and team functions as required.
- Collaborate with the coaching staff and team owner to manage the day-to-day operations of the Club and contribute to its long-term development.
- Represent HDST in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow-through and response.
- Conduct yourself with integrity, fostering positive relationships with athletes, parents, caregivers, officials, and fellow HDST staff.
- Perform and complete other duties and projects as assigned by the HDST team owner.
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
