Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our orthodontists in providing outstanding patient care, ensure clinic efficiency, and contribute to a positive experience for every patient.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, including placing brackets, wires, and appliances.
- Take x-rays and intraoral scans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, appliance care, and treatment expectations.
- Prepare treatment areas and instruments for procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Manage sterilization of instruments and ensure a clean, safe clinic environment.
- Support scheduling, appointment reminders, and patient follow-ups as needed.
- Create a friendly, positive experience for patients and families.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dental or orthodontic assistant preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Radiology certification is preferred but can be obtained once hired.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a passion for patient care.
