What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthopedic Technician / Medical Assistant position at Helena Orthopaedic Clinic?
We are seeking an individual that has a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting, and has worked directly with patients. This position will work directly with providers and will manage their patient flow throughout the day to include surgery scheduling. The candidate will have a strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. The ideal candidate will also have a strong knowledge of medication management. The candidate has or is able to learn the techniques and equipment used in orthopedic medicine including DME, casting and splinting. The candidate must have the ability to communicate with patients, healthcare providers and coworkers effectively.
The ideal candidate will have orthopedic experience and be certified as a CMA, ATC, CNA or EMT.
