Position Overview

Heliae® is seeking a motivated Ag Science Data Analyst Intern to support data intake, cleaning, analysis, and visualization. This role involves working with agricultural data, including crop yields, biomass measurements, and soil health metrics. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and collaboratively, utilizing data processing and statistical analysis tools.

This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in agricultural science and biotechnology, working closely with Ph.D.-level scientists on cutting-edge research and industry applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and manage data using file-sharing software
• Clean and integrate datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Process and standardize datasets using data analysis software
• Create data visualizations and perform statistical analyses
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal use and marketing purposes
• Track and update project management applications with detailed documentation

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to agronomy, biology, biotechnology, data science, mathematics, plant science, soil science, statistics, or a related field
• Experience working with data sets and data management
• General understanding of statistical analysis techniques and agricultural concepts

Required Skills & Attributes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (experience with ARM, JMP, and R is a plus)

Work Requirements

• Availability to work 10-20 hours per week remotely
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on data analysis
• Availability for 1-2 video calls per week during Eastern Standard Time (EST) work hours
