Helicopter Services, Inc. (HSI) is hiring Maintenance Technician for our Spring, Texas, location. As an FAA certified repair station, our mechanics maintain a large fleet of over 40 helicopters including Robinson, Airbus, Bell and MD. A successful candidate will possess the appropriate personality to work in a professional, upbeat, and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician is to ensure that timely and appropriate maintenance is provided for all aircraft, to guarantee safe operations and compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
The technician must have attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed with precision.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM requirements and HSI policies, practices, and procedures.
Complete necessary paperwork and computer entries for any maintenance performed.
Maintain the airworthiness of aircraft and all components while in service or while undergoing scheduled overhaul maintenance.
Ability to keep aircraft and work areas at the highest standards and assure the shop/work area is maintained in a safe and orderly manner.
These positions have no supervisory duties.
Maintenance Technician Duties include but are not limited to all manufacturer-mandated repairs, calendar and hourly maintenance requirements, aircraft completion, as well as customer squawks. The ability to trouble shoot is critical in this position.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant license or ability to obtain
- Valid automobile driver’s license
- Five years of aviation/avionics maintenance experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, in addition to maintenance tracking programs
Work Environment
- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 60 pounds
- Be able to access all parts of the aircraft
- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements
- Normal setting for this job is: Aircraft Hangar
