Financial Analyst

Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, the Financial Analyst develops and assists in the budgeting, financial reporting, NYS Consolidated Financial Report, NYS Consolidated Budget Report and third-party auditing processes.

In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for a Sign-On incentive up to $1,500.00! 

Pay range: $70,000 - $75,000 per year

Working Relationships

• Reports to the AR Manager.
• The Financial Analyst is required to assist in any oversight and direction from the Finance Director within other areas of the Finance Department for Helie Health.
• Works with Chief Financial Officer, Finance Director, VP of Regions/Service Directors, and program directors in preparing and managing their annual budgets.
• Works with VP of Regions/Service Directors and program directors in reviewing monthly financials and grant activity.
• Works with the Finance Director and AR Manager regarding daily accounting transactions required, preparation of month end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, budget changes, and grant reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction project financials to include expense reconciliation, reporting and submission to outside agencies.
• Act as lead for all financial related system implementations.
• Provide assistance with the Budget Model for Helio Health. 
• Provide assistance with the review of all Financial Reporting and Analysis of Helio Health.
• Provide support with the Annual NYS Consolidated budget report in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer, Finance Director and AR Manager
• Provide support with the Annual NYS Consolidated Financial Report in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer, Finance Director and AR Manager
• In conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer, Finance Director and Accounting Manager, helps coordinate proposed and significant finance changes within Helio Health.
• Provides Program Directors and Division/Service Directors with finance related information required by them to carry out assigned responsibilities.
• Assists in assuring protection for the assets of Helio Health through internal control, internal auditing, and assists with risk management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or directly related study preferred.
• A minimum of four years of progressive accounting experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and work experience in accounting may be a substituted for the above.
• Must possess a valid New York State driver's license.
• Proficiency in New York State fiscal reporting.
• Must be able to visually inspect financial documents and inspect areas such as safes and files.

Salary and hourly compensation ranges are provided in accordance with NYS law and are based on Helio Health's good faith belief of what is accurate at the time of posting. Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
