Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production teams, ensuring quality standards, and optimizing processes within a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This role requires strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members to achieve production goals.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities on the assembly line to ensure efficient workflow.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Monitor production processes and equipment to maintain quality standards and safety regulations.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, including forklifts, to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and resolve any issues that may arise during production.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste within the factory environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Shift:
Week 1: Mon - Fri - Day shift (12 hours 6 to 6)
Week 2: Mon - Thurs - Night shift (12 hours 6 to 6)
They will run with a crew of 15 production technicians and will be over the mill/welding part of the plant.
Key responsibilities include making sure that production targets are met every day. That scheduling of product is done safely and on time. KPI's for each production technician are documented correctly
