Helios Power, LLC is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team. This full-time position focuses on delivering high-quality renewable energy systems, including solar installations, energy storage solutions, and EV chargers.
Role Overview
The Project Manager at Helios Power, LLC is responsible for guiding projects through all phases—from development to post-construction. This includes supporting the Sales/Engineering team during project initiation, planning and overseeing installations, and ensuring successful project completion. The role demands leadership, resource management, risk mitigation, and effective communication with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with specifications.
Qualifications and Experience
- NABCEP PV Installation Professional (PVIP) certification (preferred).
- Proven experience managing projects with client-facing teams.
- 3–5 years of experience in solar energy, energy storage, or construction-related fields.
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently drive projects to completion.
- Basic knowledge of solar electric/battery system design and installation practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly between analog and digital workflows.
- Familiarity with project management tools and CRM systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word).
Key Responsibilities
1. Initialization/Sales Phase
Support Sales and Engineering teams by:
- Defining and negotiating the Scope of Work.
- Conducting site visits.
- Informing preliminary designs.
- Assisting in plan development.
- Reviewing and negotiating contract terms.
2. Planning Phase
Collaborate with Client Teams, Sales Teams, and Operations Teams to:
- Manage contracts effectively.
- Translate the Scope of Work into actionable plans with internal and external partners.
- Align visions between Client Teams and Project Teams for optimal results.
- Oversee deliverables and identify risks.
- Develop strategies to manage dependencies.
- Work with Client Teams to finalize designs for permitting approval.
- Create and manage the Schedule of Values (SOV).
- Conduct site visits as necessary.
- Delineate subcontractor or adjacent-trade scopes of work.
- Oversee procurement of long-lead or high-value items.
3. Construction Phase
Support Operations Production Team by:
- Monitoring project progress and addressing risks or scope issues as they arise.
- Managing changes effectively while documenting them thoroughly.
- Resolving anomalies such as unique material sourcing or scope adjustments.
4. Post-Construction Phase
Ensure successful project closeout by:
- Submitting projects for completion and payment processing.
- Assisting customers in using monitoring apps for system visibility.
- Completing inspection processes with relevant inspectors.
