The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the treasury and accounting functions within the organization. This role assists in managing cash, reconciling general ledger and bank accounts, assisting in preparation of financial reports, supporting the month end close and financial consolidations, analyzing financial results and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a high proficiency in Excel, good attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, the ability to work independently through challenges, strong communication skills to work as a team and a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. - Cash Management:
- Assist with daily cash management activities, including tracking and reconciling cash transactions.
- Monitor bank account balances and support cash forecasting.
- Initiate ACH payments, wire transfers, and other bank transactions.
- Month End Financial Close and Related Financial Reporting:
- Roll forward accounting schedules each month in preparation of the financial close.
- Prepare and post journal entries required as part of the month end close activities.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations ensuring timely and accurate completion. This includes exposure to the areas of intercompany receivables/payables, financial assets, fixed assets, leases, prepayments and other schedules as assigned.
- Manage the expense report month end process that includes following up on outstanding reports, reconciling submitted reports against company credit card statements and posting expense report details into the general ledger.
- Assist in the monthly financial consolidation process, working with domestic and foreign teams to prepare schedules and reconcile differences.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that will be presented to management.
- Assist in the preparation of regular SEC filings.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts analyzing submissions and explaining variances.
- Payment Processing:
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Assist with the disbursement process, including checks, wire transfers, and electronic payments.
- Provide a forecast of upcoming payments in support of cash forecasting.
- Support Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure all transactions are documented in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare files and documentation in support of internal and external audits.

- Efficient in prioritizing tasks to manage deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to work as a cohesive team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with high proficiency in Excel including experience with complex formulas and other Excel functions

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred
- 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related roles preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts.
