Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing production processes, tools, and equipment to ensure high-quality manufacturing, cost-effective operations, and efficient workflows. They analyze production data, design layouts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve manufacturing performance.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Process Design & Optimization

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost.

Design layouts, workflows, and equipment setups to maximize productivity.
-
Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with safety and environmental regulations.
Continuous Improvement
-
Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations.

Identify opportunities for waste reduction and process improvements.
-
Use statistical analysis and performance metrics to assess and enhance production efficiency.
Tooling & Equipment Management
-
Design, test, and evaluate tooling, fixtures, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment.

Recommend equipment upgrades and new technologies to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Quality Control & Problem-Solving

Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product specifications and standards are met.

Investigate and resolve production issues, using root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

Conduct risk assessments and develop preventive maintenance schedules.
Project Management

Lead manufacturing projects from concept through implementation, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.

Prepare and manage project documentation, including plans, reports, and technical drawings.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Data Analysis & Reporting

Collect and analyze production data to evaluate manufacturing performance.

Generate reports and present findings and recommendations to management.

Use data to forecast production needs and resource allocation.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.

Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.

Analytical skills with a solid understanding of data analysis, statistical methods, and performance metrics.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Strong project management skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.

Proficiency with ERP software and MS Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, feel/reach with hands/arms, and talk to hear.
The employee frequently is required to sit and walk. The employee is occasionally required to bend and stop, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, kneel, squat, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
