Nature and Scope:
Sun Hydraulics, LLC in Sarasota, FL has a paid Supply Chain internship opportunity available for summer 2024. We generally try to fill the summer openings by spring break. The internship offers the opportunity to see how the different supply chain/engineering classes are applied in a manufacturing and engineering business. This internship will also offer a weekly hydraulics 101 class. Toward the end of the internship, we ask interns to give presentations suggesting improvements that they may have identified during the defined project.
Qualifications:
Hands on, self-motivated students from Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field are encouraged to apply. Undergraduate and graduate students that have had supply chain internship experience especially encouraged to apply but is not required. Our preference is for students who have an interest in a Supply Chain career working in Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling Process Development
- Analyze and Document current scheduling workflows.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to enhance scheduling processes.
- Support MRP Analysis
- Support cleanup of purchasing attributes in M2K (MRP).
- Work Instructions
- Develop clear and concise work instructions for supply chain processes, including scheduling, procurement, and inventory management.
- Request for quotation (RFQ) process support
- Analyze supplier quotations for pricing, lead times, and terms, and provide recommendations to the team.
- Discrete Purchase Order Implementation
- Create and manage discrete purchase orders in alignment with production and demand plans.
