Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans for English Language Arts (ELA) and Math based on curriculum standards.
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly through assignments, tests, and observations, providing targeted support as needed.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and upcoming events.
- Use data-driven instruction to support individual student growth and achievement.
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
- Participate in team meetings, school-wide initiatives, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a unified and effective learning environment.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom.
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field (required).
- Valid teaching certification (specific to LA preferred).
- Strong knowledge of both English Language Arts and Math curricula for 4th grade.
- Experience with formative and summative assessments, data analysis, and student-centered instruction.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Strong commitment to student growth and development, both academically and socially.
- Master's degree in Education or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience teaching 4th grade ELA and Math or similar grade levels.
- Familiarity with current educational technologies and online learning platforms.
